Trials of the Void — The BTC WAR Game

Trials of the Void is BTC WAR's free, browser-based arcade game, set in the year 2042. Players guide SERA through Quantum's forces, using Purify, GRACE and NOVA to survive increasingly difficult Trials and work toward the Quantum Hydra. This page explains the game — it is informational only; to actually play, use the link at the bottom of this page.

The objective

The objective is simple: stay alive, purify the corrupted, and eventually face the Quantum Hydra. Every enemy represents another fragment of Quantum's assault, and every Trial represents another stage of SERA's resistance.

SERA

SERA is the character players control — a machine guardian created to protect Bitcoin. SERA follows the player and fires automatically; the player's job is positioning, timing and survival.

Purify

Purify means destroying corrupted enemies as SERA encounters them. Purifying enemies releases Stardust, which builds GRACE.

GRACE

GRACE is a stacking defensive shield, from ×1 up to ×6, built by collecting Stardust. A hit shatters GRACE before it costs a life, and GRACE also acts as a score multiplier.

NOVA

NOVA is SERA's shockwave ability, triggered by the player to clear nearby threats.

Quantum Hydra

The Quantum Hydra is a boss encounter players face as they survive further into BTC WAR's Trials — one of the ways the game connects back to Quantum, the central threat in BTC WAR's story.

War Points and the leaderboard

Players earn War Points during a run and can appear on the game's leaderboard. War Points are for fun and glory only — they are not tokens, have no monetary value, and do not create an entitlement to future rewards.

How the game relates to BTC WAR Mining

Trials of the Void and BTC WAR Mining are related but distinct. Playing Trials of the Void and earning War Points does not, by itself, grant $BTCWAR. BTC WAR Mining is a separate, currently in-development experience where players will enter a dedicated mining session and play as SERA to find and touch mining objects, as part of a planned game and community reward mechanic.
